Hi I'm a newbie to installing back end software but my problem has to do with configuring Apache 2.2 web server for PHP 5.2.14 windows 7. I decided to get help from webdevelopersnotes.com. I read all the instrustions carefully and made the necessary edits in the httpd.conf file in in notepad. However when I came to saving the file an error message popped up saying "access denied". I think it may have something to do with my administrator account or security. Could someone with the expertise please guide me through where I have gone wrong. Thanks LittleBoPeep

You should check out XAMPP, its a full featured web server software, apache, php, mysql, tomcat and filezilla ftp are all built in. It's incredibly easy to configure in comparison. http://www.apachefriends.org/en/xampp.html As well it may allow you to avoid that access denied problem as the files should have the proper permissions to begin with. If you just want to stay with what you currently have then check the read only status of the file. and if that isn't the problem take ownership of it.
